Just caught the movie Stake Land — a zombie-inspired movie that’s not about zombies, but vampires. However, it’s different than any zombie OR vampire movie I’ve seen. Definitely has an “indie” feel to it. Would recommend it to fans of either horror genre, or just to independent film fans who are curious about seeing a thoughtful film about such a scenario, which is still full of great action scenes that you would expect and want from such a film.
Loved that its writer was the star, that the producer also appeared in it, and that most of the cast were unknowns. Hooray for independent film!
